The general herbarium
The main collection with algae, bryophytes, fungi, lichens and vascular plants from all over the world, including the Nordic countries. This is also where the majority of type specimens are found.

The Agardh herbarium
A worldwide collection of algae created by C. A. Agardh and J. G. Agardh. It contains ca. 50,000 vouchers. The number of type specimens is estimated to 6,000.
The Retzius & Acharius herbaria
Two historical herbaria brought together by Anders Jahan Retzius and Erik Acharius. They contain duplicates from prominent botanists during the 18th and early 19th century, including many type specimens. The main content is vascular plants, but also the other groups are represented.
